MUET & ULBA ❤️๐ฉน
What is MUET actually, it stands for Malaysian University English Test. Since we’re on our way to pursue degree in public university, we’re obliged to get band 3.0 and above in order to pursue degree in university. My MUET journey is not easy. It was hectic since the gap with ULBA are only 1 day. It was one the most pressure moment i’ve been dealing with. For speaking test, I was destined to be in a group with male students. So it was a bit difficult for us to practice face to face. So we only practice it through google meet. We’re not a native speaker, and not that fluent. But we’ve tried our very best, and turns out we got all topic about National Day.
What i’ve learned from MUET speaking test is we have to cooperate with each other, and we also have to broaden our vocabs in order to speak fluently. But my problem is, i got no idea.๐ I usually speak in front of the mirror to gain my confidence and also decreasing my low self esteem level. And alhamdulillah speaking test went well, we’ve already did our very best. But trust me, i miss those memories when we used to practice every single day in order to improve on how we speak and how we represent ourselves. They made me reduce my nervous when they started to do random things which is funny. Sometimes they sing klate songs, sometimes they do math, sometimes they talk about random topic about politics and also the currrent issues that is happening in our country or other country, sometimes they tend to be chill guy ๐↔️ eventho i know deep down there, they’re nervous too. The key for them is being “santai” eventho you’re speaking in broken english, which is good because sometimes when you’re confident enough, the examiners would be attracted on how we present our points.
For writing, i searched the low frequency words in order to write a bombastic essay. Alhamdulillah the essay’s topic quite bearable. We have to write structured setences and a hook (to attract the reader) and for listening and reading is hard for me, i rate it 3/10 cause i’m a bit weak on those two parts.
Okay now ULBA. ULBA stands for Ujian Lisan Bahasa Arab, it contains kemahiran membaca, nahu sorof and hiwar (just like an impromptu) the reading and nahu sorof parts alhamdulillah i did it. But hiwar made me burst out crying. It was hard since we didn't discuss at all before about the topic that i got. I got ุญููุฉ ููู ุงูุงุณุชููุงู which i didn't have that much vocab for that topic. But alhamdulillah the examiners help me a lot to speak. I was too stunned to speak and keep on mumbling since it was hard for me. But i managed to speak three points for that topics. Thanks a lot to the examiners yg kelako. It really helps me to boost my confidence to speak in arabic. Eventho they asked me to sing Malaysia National Anthem ๐ since i told them the activities that could be held during national day is singing to show your patriotism and your enthusiasm to your country.
